FarmFest 2010 opened today in Fa Hui Park in Mong Kok, featuring 250 stalls that showcase local agricultural and fishery products.

During the three-day event, visitors can wander through an exhibition zone that  resembles Tai O fishing village - complete with a waterfall and stilt houses - to learn about local agriculture and fishery industries through a simulated greenhouse and fish farm.

Organic tomatoes are this year's theme produce while grouper is the theme fish. 

More than 150 stalls will offer  local premium produce, including fresh organic fruits and vegetables, chilled and dried seafood and ornamental plants. About 100 booths will offer local delicacies, gourmet food, household goods, organic and green products.

Members of the Scout Association of Hong Kong and Hong Kong St John Ambulance will also sell organic lettuce and cabbage they have grown.

The fair will also have cultural performances, health talks and cooking demonstrations.

Admission is free. A free shuttle bus service runs every 15 minutes from Shek Kip Mei MTR Station exit B1 during the opening hours.

The event has attracted more than 100,000 visitors every year since it was first held in 2007.
