A 77-year-old Tuen Mun man is critically ill with Legionnaires' disease, the Centre for Health Protection announced today.

He has come down with a fever, fatigue, coughing, chest pain and shortness of breath since January 5 and was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital January 8.

It was the first case of Legionnaires' disease this year. There were 37 last year.
