A 30-year-old woman with human swine flu has died at Queen Mary Hospital.
She attended the hospital's accident and emergency department December 19 with a fever and cough. She was admitted to an isolation ward and prescribed Tamiflu and antibiotics.
She tested positive for human swine flu the next day. Her condition deteriorated and she was transferred to the intensive care unit December 21 and required ventilation support. She died at 1.36pm today.
The case has been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection.
