Twenty students at a Fanling nursery school have come down with hand, foot and mouth disease.
The 13 boys and seven girls aged three to five have developed oral ulcers, a fever and a rash since October 17.
The Centre for Health Protection today said the children tested positive for the group A Coxsackie virus and are in stable condition.
The centre has put the institution under medical surveillance and provided health advice to its staff.
