Man critically ill with Legionnaires' disease

A 65-year-old Kennedy Town man is critically ill with Legionnaires' disease, the Centre for Health Protection says.

 

He developed fever, cough, shortness of breath and headache on October 11 and was admitted to Queen Mary Hospital the same day.

 

There have been 33 cases of Legionnaires' disease this year. There were 13 last year.
