Joyous occasion: Villagers from Ma Tin Tsuen in Yuen Long will perform a dragon dance at the Heritage Museum to promote Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage.
*

Two hundred villagers from Ma Tin Tsuen in Yuen Long will perform a dragon dance at the Heritage Museum October 18 at 3pm to promote Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage.

The golden dragon made in 2002 was designed by Ma Tin Tsuen. About 70 metres in length, the dragon is assembled from 36 cylindrical sections. Its body is woven with bamboo strips and dressed in silk with the head and tail made of paper and silk.

The dragon will be on display at the museum from October 19 until mid April 2010. For enquiries, call 2180 8188 or click here.
