A sea, land and sky parade will be held September 27 in Wan Chai to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
The opening ceremony will be held at 3pm and the half-hour grand parade will start 3.15pm. More than 10 vessels, including a fire boat, a Chinese sail boat "Adventure Ship", a Star Ferry and yachts from the Hong Kong Yacht Club, will take part in the sea parade off Golden Bauhinia Square.
Four helicopters from the Government Flying Service and Heliservices will do a fly-past over the square. About 300 personalities and representatives from uniformed groups will join the land parade. A variety show will be held after the parade and 10 vintage cars will be displayed.
People can also have fun at game booths from 2pm to 5.30pm. Game coupons can be obtained from the Wan Chai District Office's Public Enquiry Service Centre until September 25. Coupons will also be distributed at the venue on Sunday, on a first-come, first-served basis.
