Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a food poisoning case involving nine people who fell ill after eating pre-cooked chicken from a supermarket stall in Fanling Town Centre.

Three groups of people aged seven to 81 came down with vomiting, diarrhoea, fever and nausea after eating the chicken at their homes on August 3.

A 50-year-old man and a 52-year-old woman also developed symptoms on August 5.

All patients sought medical treatment and are stable. No hospitalisation was required. Laboratory test results are pending.
