Hospital deputy to chair inquiry panel

Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital's Deputy Chief Executive Dr Lau Chor-chiu has been appointed chair of the panel investigating the disappearance of a baby's body from the institution.

 

The Hospital Authority said today the panel will conduct a full inquiry and recommend improvements.

 

Other panel members are Alliance for Patients' Mutual Help Organisations Chairman Cheung Tak-hei, the hospital's Hospital Governing Committee member and principal pastor of Chai Wan Baptist Church Rev Chu Yiu-ming, Hospital Authority Public Complaints Committee member and Patient Group representative Virginia Wu, and Dr David Lam, chief executive of Ruttonjee, Tang Shiu Kin and Tung Wah Eastern Hospitals.
