Festive float: The International Chinese New Year Night Parade will usher in the Year of the Ox at 8pm January 26 in Tsim Sha Tsui, featuring magnificently decorated floats.

The International Chinese New Year Night Parade will usher in the Year of the Ox at 8pm January 26 in Tsim Sha Tsui.

 

Entertainers from more than 10 countries and regions will participate. The show will include 13 magnificently decorated floats with performers from South Korea, Macau, Spain and Thailand, cheerleaders from Australia and the US, costumed characters and traditional cultural performances from Denmark, Japan and Spain, cultural dances from the Mainland, Japan and the US, and marching bands and music troupes from Russia and South Africa.

 

The parade will start at the Cultural Centre Piazza and proceed along Salisbury Road to Mody Lane, before making a U-turn and ending at New World Centre. It will be webcast on www.DiscoverHongKong.com and televised live on TVB Jade from 8pm.

 

Tickets for spectator stands are $180, $240 and $300 at Tourism Board Visitor Centres. For enquiries call 2508 1234.
