Tourist ill with Legionnaires' disease

The Centre for Health Protection today confirmed a case of Legionnaires' disease involving a 51-year-old tourist.

 

The man developed fever, headache, cough and shortness of breath on December 31. He arrived in Hong Kong on January 4 and was admitted to a private hospital on January 6. He is in stable condition.

 

It is the second case of Legionnaire's disease reported this year. There were 13 last year.
