Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed the year's seventh cholera case, involving an 11-year-old boy who came down with the disease after visiting India.

He went to the country with his family November 27 to December 8 and developed diarrhoea on December 9. He is now being isolated in Princess Margaret Hospital for treatment and in stable condition.

Earlier his mother was also confirmed to have been infected. She has been in isolation in Princess Margaret Hospital and discharged yesterday.
