Two boys aged two and three have been found to have renal stones suspected to be related to the consumption of melamine-tainted milk products.

Both have been discharged from Princess Margaret Hospital and are stable, the Centre for Health Protection said today.

The two-year-old lives in Tse Wan Shan and consumed milk products bought from the Mainland for 15 months. He was taken to Kwong Wah Hospital for assessment and a renal stone was found in his right kidney. He was hospitalised November 7 and discharged three days later.

The other boy is a Mainlander who consumed similar milk products for 18 months. His parents took him to United Christian Hospital for assessment and a renal stone was found in his left kidney. He was hospitalised October 31 and discharged November 8.

The two cases are the 12th and 13th reported to the centre.
