Carrie Lam to attend charity conference
*

Secretary for Development Carrie Lam will lead a Hong Kong delegation to attend the China Charity Conference in Beijing December 5.

 

Organised by the Ministry of Civil Affairs the event recognises the outstanding contributions of enterprises and people from Hong Kong, the Mainland and Macau in charity work.

 

Delegates include Permanent Secretary for Constitutional & Mainland Affairs Joshua Law and representatives from the Social Welfare, Home Affairs and Fire Services Departments, the Government Flying Service, the Department of Health and the Hospital Authority which have taken part in Sichuan earthquake relief and reconstruction work.

 

Also joining are representatives from the Jockey Club and other non-Government organisations.

 

Mrs Lam will return to Hong Kong December 6.
