Youth Music Interflows to start Dec 6

The 2008 Youth Music Interflows will feature 176 orchestras and bands from local schools performing December 6 to 28.

 

The programme includes the Chinese Orchestra Contest at Tuen Mun Town Hall December 6 and 7, the String Orchestra Contest at City Hall December 7, the Symphony Orchestra Contest at Queen Elizabeth Stadium December 13, and the Symphonic Band Contest at Ko Shan Theatre December 13 and 14, and at Tsuen Wan Town Hall December 27.

 

The Gold Award winners of each class in the Symphonic Band Contest will compete for Grand Champion titles in the primary and secondary school categories at the Winners' Final December 28 at Tsuen Wan Town Hall which will also feature a performance by Polish Trombonist Maciek Walicki and the Hong Kong Youth Symphonic Band.
