Dr York Chow to visit Hangzhou, Chengdu
*

Secretary for Food & Health Dr York Chow is leading a delegation to the seventh joint meeting of senior health officials of the Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau in Hangzhou tomorrow, to report on Hong Kong's latest health-services developments.

The delegation includes Director of Health Dr Lam Ping-yan, Centre for Health Protection Controller Dr Thomas Tsang, Centre for Food Safety Controller Dr Constance Chan and Hospital Authority Director (Quality & Safety) Dr Leung Pak-yin.

They will brief the meeting on Hong Kong's health services news, the implementation of the co-operation agreement on the response mechanism for public-health emergencies, and the city's participation in rescue and post-quake reconstruction work in Sichuan.

On Friday, Dr Chow will join Chief Secretary Henry Tang in Chengdu to meet Sichuan provincial officials to discuss post-quake reconstruction work, and witness the signing of projects the Hong Kong Government and Hong Kong Jockey Club will fund.
