The Centre for Health Protection today confirmed a case of Enterovirus-71 infection involving a four-year-old Tuen Mun girl.

She was taken to a private doctor on October 29 for oral ulcers, rashes and blisters over her hands and feet. She is now in stable condition.

She hasn't traveled overseas lately and there is no outbreak of hand-foot-mouth disease at her kindergarten.

There have been 87 EV71 infection cases so far this year. There were 12 last year.
