House crow tests positive for H5N1

A dead house crow found in Sham Shui Po has been confirmed H5N1-positive, the Agriculture, Fisheries & Conservation Department says.

 

The bird was found and collected at the refuse collection chamber in Sham Shui Po Park on October 15.

 

To avoid the spread of avian flu, people are reminded to observe good personal hygiene, avoid personal contact with wild birds and live poultry, and clean their hands thoroughly after coming into contact with them. For prevention tips, click here.
