Boy treated for renal stone

Centre for Health Protection

An eight-year-old Yuen Long boy has been diagnosed with a renal stone after consuming melamine-tainted milk products, the Centre for Health Protection says.

His parents took him to a private hospital after blood was seen in his urine, and a renal stone was found in his right kidney. He was admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital and is in stable condition.

This is the eighth case reported to the centre.
