Two suspected cases of food poisoning

*
Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating two suspected food poisoning cases involving 11 people who dined at the same restaurant in Jordan on October 6.

The first case involved four women aged 28 to 33 who developed gastroenteritis symptoms 12 to 29 hours after the meal.

The second case affected two men and five women aged 28 to 29. They developed similar gastroenteritis symptoms 13 to 25 hours after the meal.

Five people sought treatment from private doctors while another one attended Queen Elizabeth Hospital's accident and emergency department. All are in stable condition and did not require hospitalisation.
