Centre for Health Protection

The Centre for Health Protection has confirmed the year's 33rd Dengue fever case involving a 37-year-old Australian man.

He travelled with his wife to India June 6 and arrived in Hong Kong September 25. He developed fever, headache, muscle and eye pain the next day and sought medical treatment from a private doctor September 29. He was admitted to a private hospital and is now stable. His wife has no symptoms.

Click here for prevention tips or visit the Travel Health Service website for information on Dengue fever in other places.
