Retailer prosecuted for breaching poultry ban
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has prosecuted a fresh provision shop licensee for breaching the ban on keeping live poultry at retail outlets overnight.

Officers found three live chickens in the shop in Upper Pak Tin Estate during the August 27 inspection.

Operators of live poultry market stalls and fresh provision shops should kill all live poultry remaining at their premises before 8pm each day. No live poultry should be kept from 8pm to 5am the next day.
