People should not eat a batch of Waitrose pickled shallots due to the possible presence of glass fragments.
The Centre for Food Safety said the UK company is recalling the products. On the top of the lid there is a best before date of end Nov 2009, with the batch code L7312 and a time code of 9.45 to 13.40.
The centre will contact British authorities for more information and has informed the trade to stop selling the products.
