Warning issued on yoghurt products

*
Centre for Food Safety

People should not eat five types of yoghurt products manufactured by Australia's National Foods, due to the presence of plastic film which may pose a choking hazard, particularly for children, the Centre for Food Safety says.

They are Yoplait Go-Gurt series' Spiders, Strawberry & Fruit Salad and Raspberry & Apricot, and Yoplait Smackers series' Strawberry and Peach & Pineapple. All are packs of 8 x 70g, with best-before dates up to and including September 27.

The company concerned has announced their immediate recall. Retailers should also stop selling them.

The centre will contact the relevant Australian authorities for further information. It has informed the trade of the incident and will monitor the situation.
