Olympic action televised on giant screens
*

Sports fans can watch all the Beijing Olympic action on giant screens at the Olympic Live Sites in Victoria Park and Sha Tin Park August 9 to 24.

Speaking at the launch ceremony in Victoria Park tonight Secretary for Home Affairs Tsang Tak-sing said the sites will allow the community to experience the spirit of the Olympics and cheer for the competitors.

There will also be cultural performances and games stalls.

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department has also launched a cheering campaign with the slogan "Go Go China! Go Go Hong Kong!" for spectators to chant during the games.

People can leave messages of support for Hong Kong's competitors and choose their favourite Olympic sports either online or in person by going to the two live sites and filling in cheering cards.
