The Centre for Health Protection is investigating two food poisoning cases involving 38 people.
Twenty men and five women aged 16 to 48 came down with abdominal pain, diarrhoea, vomiting and fever after eating at a Mong Kok hotel buffet June 30. Seven consulted private doctors or attended public hospitals.
The second case involved five men and eight women, aged 18 to 53. They came down with similar symptoms after eating food bought from a food premises in Central on June 29. Ten sought treatment from private doctors or public hospitals.
People should observe good personal, food and environmental hygiene to prevent food-borne diseases.
