The Centre for Health Protection has received a new report involving a 10-year-old girl under the influenza surveillance arrangement set up with hospitals. Lab tests show she has Influenza A.

The girl, with known medical illness, came down with fever, cough and shortness of breath on May 27. Her condition deteriorated and was admitted to Tuen Mun Hospital the next day. She had inflammation of the heart muscle - myocarditis - and is now in stable condition.
