The pre-statutory voluntary registration scheme will be extended to egg products, processed vegetables and fruit products, dairy products, legumes, nuts and seeds importers and distributors on June 1, the Centre for Food Safety says.

Importers and distributors can register with the centre their business registration numbers, addresses, phone numbers and person-in-charge. For details, click here.

The centre said the scheme, launched last August, will be extended to other food items - including cereals, beverages, snacks and health food - in phases between July and October.
