The Centre for Health Protection received two reports of outbreaks of influenza-like illness today involving a kindergarten cum childcare centre and a special childcare centre, affecting 14 people.

The centre's officers have visited the institutions and provided health advice to their staff.

Meanwhile, preliminary findings have so far found no infective agent in the 11-year-old boy with encephalitis who died yesterday. Investigations are continuing.
