The Centre for Health Protection today received six reports of influenza-like illness outbreaks involving 27 students from a Sha Tin secondary school, three primary schools in Shau Kei Wan, Sha Tin and Fanling and two Tai Po kindergartens.

They involved 16 boys and 11 girls aged two to 14. None have been hospitalised or had influenza confirmed.

The centre's staff have visited the institutions and provided health advice.
