Tainted turbot fish found

A turbot fish sample collected from an Aberdeen Wholesale Fish Market stall has been found to contain a trace amount of nitrofurans, the Centre for Food Safety says.

The level detected would not be hazardous to health with normal consumption.

The centre has asked the stall owner to stop selling the fish in question and may prosecute. It will continue inspections and closely monitor the situation.
