The Centre for Food Safety has resumed processing applications for importing poultry from Germany.

Import applications were suspended last July after an avian influenza H5N1 case on a German poultry farm.

The centre said today the resumption has been made in view of the control measures taken by Germany and because no other avian flu cases have been reported there.
