January ovitrap index falls to nil
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The monthly average ovitrap index for January fell to 0% from 0.2% in December. The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department said the index for port areas also dropped from 0.1% to 0%.

However, it warned although the weather is cold and the January indices are very low, preventive measures should not be relaxed as Dengue fever cases are still prevalent in neighbouring places.

People should stay alert and inspect their home and surroundings to remove potential mosquito breeding grounds.
