In bloom: The peach trees in Tsing Yi Park's Prunus Garden are now in full blossom. |

The Leisure & Cultural Services Department invites people to visit Tsing Yi Park's Prunus Garden during the Lunar New Year to appreciate the peach trees which are now in full bloom.
Established in 2000, the garden has more than 400 peach trees. To ensure they bloom just at the right time staff need to remove leaves on the branches two months before the Lunar New Year. They then stop watering the trees for a month to make them bud and blossom.
During the Lunar New Year, visitors can see Chinese floral displays in the park. They can also visit a 1,200-metre quali-walk path, children's play areas, an amphitheatre, artificial lakes, a large waterfall and a lookout pavilion.
