The Centre for Health Protection is investigating a food poisoning outbreak involving 15 Yuen Long primary students.

Eleven boys and four girls, aged seven to 10, developed abdominal pain, diarrhoea and vomiting after consuming lunch provided by a caterer at school on December 20. Nine sought medical treatment from private doctors and none required hospitalisation.

The centre reminds the public, especially food handlers, to observe good personal and environmental hygiene to prevent food-borne disease.
