The Centre for Food Safety today resumed processing applications for importing poultry meat from Malaysia.

The suspension was imposed in June after a highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 case in a poultry farm was confirmed.

The centre decided to resume application processing due to the control measures taken by Malaysia and no further reports of avian flu there.
