*
CHP logo (Eng version)

The Centre for Health Protection is investigating the outbreak of an influenza-like illness affecting 24 children at a Kwai Chung kindergarten.

The 10 boys and 14 girls aged three to five have come down with a fever, cough, sore throat and runny nose since October 15.

All consulted general practitioners, out-patient clinics or hospitals. Two were admitted to the Baptist and Yan Chai Hospitals and were discharged.

The centre's officers have conducted field visits to the school and provided health instructions to its staff.
