Yuen Long restaurant ordered closed
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department has closed a Yuen Long restaurant two weeks for repeated breaches of the Food Business Regulation.

The restaurant in the Ching Ying Building on Fook Tak Street was ordered to suspend business until September 14.

In August last year and May this year the licensee had two convictions for failing to cover food properly. A $4,000 fine was imposed and 15 points were registered.

There were also two convictions of the same offence in April last year. A $6,000 fine was levied and 15 demerit points registered. The breaches led to business suspension for seven days last September.

The department reminds licensees to comply strictly with Food Business Regulations, otherwise their licences can be suspended or cancelled.
