Surplus flat sale applications to close
*
Housing Department

Applications for the sale of surplus Home Ownership Scheme Flats phase two will close August 21, Assistant Director of Housing (Housing Subsidies) Albert Lee says. Prices of the 3,255 flats start from $240,000.

Application forms must reach the respective estate offices or the Housing Authority Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu by Tuesday. For applications sent by post, the date of the postal chop on the envelope will be regarded as the date of submission.

On-site show flats at Kingsford Terrace, Wong Tai Sin, and Ka Keng Court, Tai Wai, will be open until the end of the application period.

Applicants will soon receive an acknowledgement letter with an assigned application number. A DVD containing the reference photos of the interior of returned flats will also be sent.

The ballot ceremony is set for early September to determine the flat selection sequence. The Housing Department will then open designated returned flats for applicants' viewing.

Flat selection is expected to begin in early October. When purchasers have successfully selected a flat, arrangements will be made for them to visit it before signing the sale agreement.
