The Centre for Health Protection is investigating the suspected food poisoning of 22 people who recently ate at restaurants in Jordan and Tsuen Wan.

Seven women and four men, aged 19 to 57, fell ill after eating at, or having takeaway from, a Jordan restaurant on August 12.

Two consulted a private doctor and two others went to Princess Margaret Hospital and a private hospital. None required hospitalisation.

In the other case, seven men and four women, aged five to 58, fell ill after eating at a Tsuen Wan eatery on the same day.

One was admitted to Tsuen Wan Adventist Hospital and is now in stable condition. Eight others consulted private doctors.

The centre reminds the public, especially food handlers, to observe good personal and environmental hygiene to prevent food-borne diseases.
