Horses arrive for equestrian event
Touch down: One of the eight European horses taking part in the Good Luck Beijing - HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup equestrian events is sent to the new stable at the Sha Tin venue after arriving in Hong Kong.

Eight horses from three European countries have arrived in Hong Kong to take part in Good Luck Beijing - HKSAR 10th Anniversary Cup equestrian contest in August.

The horses - four from Germany, two each from France and the Netherlands - arrived on one plane from Amsterdam. Accompanied by relevant competition personnel including grooms, the horses were soon ensconced in the new stables built at the competition venue in Sha Tin.

Two other consignments of horses participating in the competition and team officials will arrive later next week.

The equestrian event will take place from August 11 to 13 in Sha Tin and at Beas River in Sheung Shui. A total of 17 horses from eight countries will join the three-day contest, with 20 local horses.
