The Department of Health has ordered the retailer of health product Satis 60 Hrs Ever Lasting Formula to remove it from shelves as it contains a potentially hazardous ingredient.

Piperidenafil is a western medicine used for treating erectile dysfunction.

Vardenafil is a 3rd-Schedule poison under the Pharmacy & Poisons Ordinance. It can only be sold on a doctor's prescription and under supervision by a pharmacist.

Side effects include low blood pressure, headache, vomiting, dizziness and transient vision disturbances. It can interact with other medications and lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.

The product's distributor has been asked to recall it. People should stop using it and seek medical advice if they feel unwell after taking it.
