Vibrant buntings representing Hong Kong's 18 districts will fly on major thoroughfares from June 15 as part of the Special Administrative Region's 10th anniversary celebrations.
Officiating at the Bunting Design Competition prize presentation ceremony today, Director of Home Affairs Pamela Tan said about 1,000 entries were submitted. The winning designs will decorate the banners.
All the buntings, as well as the one representing the Government, designed by the Information Services Department, will also be displayed for a month at four locations - Tsim Sha Tsui Bus Terminus, the junction of Fleming and Harbour Roads, the junction of Sha Tsui and Tai Ho Roads, and on Sha Tin Rural Committee Road.
