West Kowloon carnival to celebrate Mother's Day

Dream cars: Thirty-six valuable collectors cars, including a 1926 Rolls Royce Phantom I, will be on display at  West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade on May 13.

A Mother's Day carnival, featuring an exhibit of 36 valuable collectors cars and free entertaining programmes, will be staged at West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade on May 13.

 

The cars on display include a 1926 Rolls Royce Phantom I and 1924 Vauxhall 14_40, 1950 Bentley mark VI, 1957 Austin Healey, 1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II, 1966 Porsche 911 (1st series of 911), 1972 Mini Pick-up, 1975 Diamler Limousine, Ferrari 512 TR and Jaguar XJS-V12.

 

There will also be cycling performances, bouncing games, games stalls, a variety show and clown performances. People can also enjoy cycling by using the bicycle-rental facilities recently arranged at the promenade.

 

The carnival will run from 1pm to 5pm. Free shuttle bus services between Kowloon Park's Austin Road entrance and the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade will be arranged.

 

Buses will leave from Kowloon Park to the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade every 15 minutes from 12.30pm to 4pm. They will leave from the West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade to Kowloon Park at 15-minute intervals from 12.45pm to 5.30pm.
