Appeal issued for type A, O blood

Blood Donation Ambassadors
Life blood: Blood Donation Ambassadors Alex Fong and Stephy Tang support the blood-donation campaign.
*

The Red Cross urges people with type A or type O blood to donate.

 

It forecasts that on top of the daily requirement of 700 donations, an extra 70 daily donors each for type A and O is required to maintain an adequate reserve of these two blood types.

 

To encourage donations, the Red Cross will present a souvenir 'Love Umbrella' to donors on Mother's Day (May 13), Buddha's Birthday (May 24) and two Sundays (May 20 and 27).
