More than 30 museums and heritage institutions from Beijing, Hong Kong, Macau and Guangdong will hold a series of activities on May 12 and 13 to celebrate International Museum Day.

A Museum Panorama will be held at the Cultural Centre on May 12 and 13. Open from 10am to 6pm both days, the colourful panorama will feature games and educational activities.

To encourage people to visit museums more frequently, a gift will be given to those who purchase a Leisure & Cultural Services Department museum yearly pass in May.

There are three types of yearly pass - individual, family and concessionary. Pass holders are entitled to unlimited admission to the Science Museum (excluding some special exhibitions), Space Museum (excluding the Space Theatre's programmes), Museum of Art, Heritage Museum, Museum of History, Museum of Coastal Defence and Dr Sun Yat-sen Museum during the validity period. They can also enjoy 10% discount on participation in museums' extension activities.
