Saturday the next poultry outlet rest day
*
Food & Environmental Hygiene Department

The Food & Environmental Hygiene Department reminds live poultry stall operators and the public that the next rest day will fall on February 10.

No live poultry can be sold from noon until the following morning. Stalls and fresh provision shops must slaughter all live poultry remaining on their premises before noon and suspend business in the afternoon and evening to conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection.

All poultry-stall operators must strictly observe the rest-day conditions, and not remove any unsold live poultry from their premises to avoid slaughtering them.

Department officers will inspect each outlet, and failure to comply with rest-day conditions will see an immediate cancellation of licences or termination of tenancies.
