Flower power: Photography enthusiasts are invited to enter the "Spring Blossoms for Celebration" photo contest.

Photography enthusiasts are invited to enter the "Spring Blossoms for Celebration" photo competition, being held in conjunction with the annual spectacular Hong Kong Flower Show.

The show, with the Geranium as its theme flower this year, will run from March 16 to 25 in Victoria Park, from 9am to 9pm daily.

The competition is divided into three categories. The Category A shooting session, for portraits of local television artistes, will be held from 3.30pm to 4.30pm on March 15 in Victoria Park.

Entrants can enrol at any Leisure Link Outlets between February 7 and March 7, or by calling 2927 8080 between February 7 and March 2. The maximum number of entrants is 1,000. Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Entry fees are $30 for adults and $15 for students, senior citizens and persons with a disability.

Advance application is not necessary for Category B, "Flowers", and Category C, "Snapshots". However, entrants are required to pay an admission fee to enter the showground during the show period. Photographs must be related to the show.

All entries must be submitted to the Hong Kong Flower Show Secretariat, 11/F, Leisure & Cultural Services Headquarters, 1-3 Pai Tau Street, Sha Tin by April 16.

All winning entries will be displayed at Kowloon Park Green Education &  Resource Centre & Arcade in June and July. Photos of the winning entries will also be uploaded onto the department's website at the same time.
