The Department of Health and the Customs & Excise Department are monitoring the re-launch of Bausch & Lomb's ReNu Multiplus solution in Hong Kong.

The company suspended sale of the solution last February after it reportedly caused fungal keratitis infections in some users.

Investigations found the infections were only associated with ReNu MoistureLoc multi-purpose solution, which was withdrawn from the market permanently in May.

The Government will liaise with ophthalmologists to monitor any fungal keratitis cases. Click here for prevention tips.
