Photography enthusiasts who wish to join the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of the HKSAR Photo Competition are urged to submit their works by January 12.

Organised by the Home Affairs and Information Services Departments, with 18 District Offices as co-organisers, contestants are asked to submit photographs conveying:

* Hong Kong's successes in the past decade;

* the successful implementation of 'One country, two systems' principle; and

* local people's can-do attitude and entrepreneurial spirit.

The competition is being held at district and Hong Kong-wide levels. It has three categories - open, youth and mobile phone. The mobile-phone category will be held only at the Hong Kong-wide level. Photographs taken with a PDA will also be accepted. Entries should be in full colour, and sent via email to 10@photo.isd.gov.hk.

Cash prizes, gift coupons of up to $7,000, and trophies will be awarded. Winners will be notified by email or telephone in March and invited to attend a prize-presentation ceremony.
